Alice asked for a complete refresh of her Berkeley home, from the circa-1980 kitchen and bathroom, to the transforming of a guest bedroom into a cookbook library. The home was a collaboration with Lyn Alhorn of Alhorn Hooven Design Build. The hand-hammered copper sink is framed by a new custom Heath tile backsplash, while the custom cabinetry by Wilson and Sons hides the refrigerator and a hidden vacuum cleaner cubby behind the pantry, Custom lighting is by local lighting designer Michael McEwen.
