B28: 2028 Bancroft Ave. Berkeley

2028 Bancroft, dubbed B28, is a 37-unit building designed for UC Berkeley students. The colorful six-story building offers an assortment of choices for residents wanting to live alone or with friends, from studios to 3-bedroom units. The project contributes to Berkeley’s Climate Action Plan goals due to its proximity to campus (10 minute walk), ample bike parking, location within ¼ mile to BART and AC Transit and carshare programs.

The big orange swoosh unites the building entry to the roof while adding some much-needed vibrancy to the streetscape.

To promote gathering of friends and building residents, the project provides a large courtyard as well as a roof deck with BBQ, firepit and unobstructed views of the Bay.
